Dealing With Motherhood Challenges
What are the motherhood challenges that test you on a daily or weekly basis? Here you can ask questions and find answers.
Here are some issues common to mothers: Getting Enough Sleep This is always an issue for moms of young babies and it can continue into toddlerhood. Getting into good habits from the beginning, like teaching your child to settle himself, is easier than the cure! You need your own bedtime routine too, to wind down! Also, regular exercise helps you to sleep better, but don't do it just before bed! Coping With Illness It's tough when kids are ill, but cut youself some slack! Leave the cleaning: only do what is vital, the rest can wait. Get family and friends to help out with shopping and cooking. Coping With Crying If the crying doesn't have an obvious cause try:a warm baby bath, distraction with toys, a walk or ride in the car, cuddles with singing or talking and stroking or baby massage. Being Patient To be able to keep cool at all times look after your own needs: take me time, eat well, think what activities make you happy and program them in, exercise regularly stimulate your mind and make a contribution to your community. These things will keep you happy so you can be patient.
